Sooner or later any tall woman runs into the problem of searching for a fitting swimming suit. If you are not very lucky of having all your length in your legs a normal sized swimming suit will compress you in a very uncomfortable way.
When I talk to my friends about this they don't believe that it is so hard to find swimming suits for tall women. Why? Because swimming suits are elastic and should adapt to your body size, shouldn't they? This is true in limits and these limits don't include tall women. |

If you didn't find a swimming suit for tall women and didn't want to take a uncomfortable normal sized one, your only chance was to buy swimwear consisting of two pieces. You had the possibility to choose between bikinis and tankinis and the wide range of designs they come in.
Now not everyone feels good in tankinis and bikinis. I for example fear to loose parts of them when I dive from ten meters. So swimming suits for tall women were my favored choice. |

The search for passably fitting swimming suits always seemed to take ages and I had to repeat it almost every year. Why? Because the swimming suits weren't for tall women but had by accident a few more inches of material. So they still were exposed to more strain than they were made for.
Of course I have tried buying one or two sizes bigger, but it never was more than a compromise. So I now buy my swimming suits online in stores for tall women. |

Yes, I would prefer to go into a store for tall women , try on the swimming suits and pick the one that fits best, but till now this is still a dream. Maybe some day someone sees the potential in our market and opens up a retailer that sells swimming suits for tall women everywhere.
Until then we have the internet. |
